Where he's from: Waterbury, Connecticut.

What influenced Dave in becoming a musician: I fell in love with the instrument when I was in grammar school and started taking lessons. It just ballooned from there.

First record he ever bought: Don't laugh, but I think it was Cat Steven's "Tea for the Tillerman"!

Hobbies/Special Interests: I like to cook, read and I love to listen to all kinds of music.

Pets: Two cats - one male grey tabby, Max, and a female tuxedo cat named Holly.

Favorite Bands: Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Sevendust, Karizma, Tower of Power, Planet X, Michel Camilo, Chick Corea, Dave Matthews Band, Tool, Government Mule; anything with Vinnie Colaiuta, Dennis Chambers, Steve Gadd, Simon Phillips, Virgil Donati, Terry Bozzio, Art Blakely, Tony Williams, and a bunch of other drummers. I also have a lot of classical music in my collection. Some of my favorite composers are Stravinsky, Bartok, Mahler, J. S. Bach, Silbelius, Brahms, and Ravel.

Favorite Sports/Team(s): NY Giants (football), Formula One Racing (Ferrari and Michael Schumacher).

Background Info: I started playing in 1977, took lessons all through high school and was a music major in college, although I did not get my degree. I love the whole family of percussion instruments, but drum sets have always been my first love. I'll play anything, anytime, anywhere, with anyone. I LOVE IT!
